24/5 Trading, also known as Overnight Trading, allows you to trade select securities 24 hours a day, 5 days a week on BIGEIO. This extended trading window gives you the flexibility to trade outside traditional market hours, including overnight and weekends (excluding Saturday and Sunday).
Overnight Trading operates through alternative trading systems (ATS) that match buy and sell orders outside regular market hours. Orders are matched based on price and time priority. You can place limit orders during the overnight session for select stocks and ETFs.
To place an overnight trade:
Yes, overnight trades can count towards your day trade count if you buy and sell the same security within the same trading day. The overnight session is considered part of the trading day for pattern day trader (PDT) rule purposes. Make sure to manage your trades accordingly if you have a margin account with less than $25,000.
